Before we begin, I want to take a look with you at the last few weeks and finish up the assignment from the last session.
Since you last participated in session 1, more participants have worked on the presenteeism risk factors picture.
Many people have participated. That’s just great! Here I have given you the top 10, key words to the risk factors for presenteeism:
You see, you’re not alone in your thoughts on risk factors.
Now think about the last few weeks between the completion of the last session and today.
What have you done particularly well in terms of presenteeism in the last few weeks since participating in session 1?
What have you observed in your environment in terms of dealing with presenteeism?
The task for reflection between session 1 and session 2 is an important requirement in dealing with presenteeism. You have now had a few weeks of experience with it. It is important that you continue to be mindful and assess for yourself when you feel too sick to work. As further support you can use this table:
The table represents four weeks. For each day of the week, there are three fields where you can check whether you were either healthy, sick and stayed at home, or worked sick.
Among the participants there are also shift workers and weekend workers.
It gives you a better overview of how you deal with presenteeism. Two weeks of reflection is the minimum, a whole month is a super thing!
You can assign one cross per weekday. Be honest with yourself. If you want, you can even write a comment.
Answer the following questions for yourself after you have filled in the table.
How often did you feel healthy?
How often were you sick?
How often did you go to work despite being sick?
How does this happen?
Where do you see a need for change?
